Dearest heart,
I love you for all you do
For tirelessly beating night and day, without rest.
For nourishing every part my body with rich blood
You are strong and powerful and wonderful
You are the core of my feelings,
when I am sad and when I love
When I am scared and when I am joyous
Sometimes you have felt broken, but eventually you healed.
I promise to take good care of you
Feed you good food
Give you exercise
Let you have rest.
I promise to listen very closely to
what you have to tell me, because I know it is my truth.
I will let you experience all feelings and not be afraid.
I will not shut you down when I am alone or in pain
